The Washington County School Board will host a farewell drop-in reception to honor Dr. Brian Ratliff, Division Superintendent, who is retiring on June 30, 2023. The reception will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023, from 4-6 p.m. in the Grand Hall at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center, 1 Partnership Circle, Abingdon, Virginia. At 5:15 p.m. we will recognize Dr. Brian Ratliff, our retiring Superintendent. We look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday, June 6th.

Mrs. Allyson Willis, principal of Watauga Elementary School, is being honored by the VDOE's Office of School Quality as a leader who supports Instructional Rounds in her building. She will be featured in a VDOE webinar on Thursday, May 4, at 9:00am.
