As new guidance is provided from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Virginia Department of Health  (VDH), we will make adaptations to our local guidance as well.   The most recent announcement from the CDC states, “Effective February 25, 2022, CDC does not require wearing of masks on buses or vans operated by public or private school systems, including early care and education/child care programs.”   While masks are no longer required, the recommendation remains to wear masks indoors as a COVID-19 mitigation strategy when levels of community transmission are high.  

Effective Tuesday, March 1, 2022 masks will be optional for students on Washington County Public Schools' buses and school-operated vehicles.
