The Rebels Wrestling team has found success at the state tournament for the second time since 2018 (Tommy Hudson 2023). Bishop Ratliff has advanced to placement rounds. Patrick Henry High School students, along with the other county high school students, went to VHCC for a college visit/tour. They learned about degree programs, enjoyed the coffee shop, were treated to Chick FIl A by Communities In Schools, and attended an informational meeting about either health sciences or career and technical skills.
Haven Street made Patrick Henry High School history this past weekend as she competed in the first VHSL Zone Qualifier (Regionals for females) at Franklin County High School. She wrestled hard but came up short of qualifying for state; she went 1-2 for the day with a win over Holston and losses to Lord Botetourt and Stanton River High School. This year marks the beginning of a new era in sports at PHHS. Girls' wrestling is the fastest-growing sport in the US. Haven is the first female to compete at this level for PHHS. Her teammates Bailey Keen and Sydney Moore also competed this year on the first female wrestling team in school history. Congratulations to Haven Street!
Congratulations to these wrestlers on punching their ticket to the State Tournament! Last week at the Region D1 wrestling tournament, the Patrick Henry wrestling team advanced three and one alternate. We are super proud of our wrestlers and look forward to watching them compete in the 2025 state wrestling tournament at the Salem Civic Center on February 20th and 21st.

Childcare for elementary students will be provided at elementary schools (for elementary aged students only) for working families who need it. Please watch for additional information from your child’s elementary school.

No childcare will be provided. Forecasts look much better next week and we look forward to seeing our students when we return to school in-person.

Meals will be available from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Abingdon High School, John S. Battle High School, Patrick Henry High School, and Holston High School. Any child 18 years of age or younger is eligible to receive meals and may choose one of the four listed locations for meal pick-up. Students do not need to be present for families to pick up meals.
