On Thursday, November 9, 2023, the Optimist Club of Bristol recognized local middle school students. Students were nominated by their home schools based on academic achievement and overall character. This year’s award winners from Wallace Middle School were Phoebe M. and Noah S.
Phoebe embodies the Optimist Club Creed of “ To wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile.”. Phoebe’s teachers describe her as “an outstanding young woman who always brings a smile to my face! She includes others, always, is organized and ready for class, but most importantly she is a ray of light every day”.
Noah also embodies the Optimist Club Creed of “To give so much time to the improvement of yourself that you have no time to criticize others.” Noah’s teachers describe him as “an exceptional student. He always helps his peers who may be struggling in class and offers helpful advice. Noah is always eager to learn new things and shows optimism by applying himself to excel in the classroom each and every day.”
Wallace Middle School is proud to have these two students representing the Junior Trojans as award recipients of the Optimist Club Outstanding Youth 2023.
