MES students in front of a statue at Bat’s Mountain
Meadowview Elementary School’s second grade classes have enjoyed two field trips in the last month.  The students and teachers were excited to visit Rocky Mount Living History Museum and Bays Mountain Park.  At Rocky Mount the children learned all about the history of the first capital of the Southwest Territory during the late 1700’s.  The second graders enjoyed making a craft and learning what life was like for people long ago.  When visiting Bays Mountain, students loved visiting the planetarium and learning about the effect of asteroids on dinosaur life millions of years ago.  The children were also fascinated by the many wolves and hawks kept at the park. Who knew learning could be so much fun?
