MES Students watch eggs hatch

Mrs. Roark’s kindergarten class at Meadowview Elementary School are busy watching, waiting, and preparing for their baby chicks to hatch!  The students started with several chicken eggs and have been observing them for a week, but are anxious for the 21st day, when their baby chicks will burst out of their shells.  For now, the students are learning all about the life cycle of a chicken and what each stage means.  The chicken eggs are being transformed in an incubator and students have time every day to observe them, record their observations, and make good predictions.  Students write about what they are learning and have completed many learning experiences to highlight the changes and what they have found out.  Meadowview kindergarten students are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their baby chicks- and watching their eggs with egg-cellent excitement!
