Students from MES holding plants they are growing

Mrs. Doane’s kindergarten students have been busy learning all about life cycles.  Students have observed plants, butterflies, chicks, frogs, and other living things.  The students have been actively engaged in growing plants within the classroom and tending to their needs.  Students have had class jobs to help in growing their own KinderGARDEN.  First, students were able to observe what things plants need in order to grow.  Then, they planted various kinds of vegetables, wildflowers, sunflowers, and other kinds of plants.  Students have thoroughly enjoyed planting, cultivating, and harvesting plants.  Before Mother’s Day, the students will have the exciting opportunity to take their plants home and share them with their families!  Meadowview Elementary kindergarten students love being farmers and using their “Green Thumbs!”
