Greendale Elementary has enjoyed welcoming several special guest readers into our classrooms this week as we celebrate Read Across America Week! Our students loved hearing stories shared by our guests, including Dr. Perrigan and Mr. Lambert.
We are thankful for the time they took to visit with our students and help inspire a love of reading. Moments like these make reading even more meaningful and memorable for our learners!
Thank you to all of our guest readers for supporting our students and helping make this week so special.

What a special day for our Greendale Elementary Writing Club!
Today, our talented young writers were treated to a pizza party hosted by author Adriana Trigiani in celebration of their participation in The Origin Project! What an incredible opportunity to connect with a published author and celebrate the power of student storytelling.
Greendale Elementary is proud to have participated in The Origin Project for the past 10 years under the sponsorship of Dr. Brenda Sprinkle, our librarian, and Mrs. Lucy Davenport, our dedicated Language Arts teacher. Their commitment to nurturing student voice and creativity continues to make a lasting impact.
We are so proud of our student writers for sharing their stories and representing Greendale so beautifully!

🌟☕ Be a Bean Recognition -- Greendale Elementary School -- Hometown Heroes
Principal Michael Colston, Tammy Boyd (Food Service), and Tracey Lester (secretary) were recently recognized by School Board Members for their compassion and teamwork. When a family from another school in Washington County was experiencing hardship and needed access to warm food, the Greendale team worked together to help ensure the family received a hot meal.
Their response was thoughtful, coordinated, and centered on the care for our children and families.
