Glade Spring Middle School celebrated Veterans Day, November 9, 2022 with a school wide program. Veterans were invited to attend the program sponsored by the SCA and attend a reception afterwards. During the program, students read tributes to Veterans at home and abroad. The band played the anthems of each military branch and the chorus performed for all attendees. The ceremony was highlighted by Mr. James Meadows, local country artist and Community in Schools representative at GSMS who sang his version of “God Bless the USA”. Students completed many art projects and tributes that were placed around the school. A special thanks to Ms. Cannon and Ms. Buchanan for organizing the event.
