Community Scholars

Junior Washington County Community Scholars (JWCCS) is a program sponsored by Washington County Public Schools. The goal is to produce highly qualified students who value the importance of citizenship and service to the community. Students will be recognized for their participation in JWCCS at the end of the year.

To qualify, students must:

  • Service: Complete eight (8) hours of community service and submit documentation (forms are located in the Guidance Department).

  • Grades: Maintain a "B" average

  • Attendance: Cannot miss more than nine (9) days of school (excused and /or unexcused absences).

  • Discipline: Have no more than three (3) office disciplinary referrals and zero (0) out of school suspensions.
