Abingdon Elementary School students and staff had a great time at the Fun Run that took place on August 29. Our Bobcats did a fantastic job making lots of laps around the track! During the day, there was a ton of running, walking, resting in the shade, water squirting, dance parties and laughter. A special thanks to Communities in Schools of Appalachian Highlands for providing popsicles, as it was the perfect day to enjoy a cool treat. We would also like to thank our Abingdon High School Falcon friends -- we had so much fun with the students and coaches that came from the Cross-Country team and Strength Conditioning. It was great to have high school students run and cheer with us! We also had several wonderful parent and grandparent volunteers -- these events wouldn't be possible without your help!
