Watauga Elementary School Celebrates 100 Days of School

Students dressed up wearing 100 items. On January 24th, Watauga encouraged students and faculty to participate in celebrating the 100th day of school by donating cans of non-perishable food items to give to the local food bank.

Classrooms are competing to collect the most cans of food for a prize of 100 extra minutes of recess to be used throughout the end of the school year. In addition to the food drive, we also encouraged students to display 100 on a shirt or hat, poster board, or in a shoe box with items that can be counted. Students that participated in displaying 100 were invited to walk through the halls in a school-wide parade!
