Wallace Middle School Students Celebrate Tobacco-Free Spirit Day

Two girls are pictured with tobacco-free certificates.Students at Wallace Middle School celebrated Tobacco-Free Spirit Day on Thursday, February 16.  Tobacco-Free Spirit Day is a day to celebrate school divisions across Virginia that have committed to being tobacco and e-cigarette free.

This year’s theme was 24-7 to symbolize our school being tobacco-free 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Student Ambassadors set up a table at lunch to administer surveys about our tobacco free policy. The Student Ambassadors also gave away free items such as stress balls, stickers, and pins. Students enjoyed signing pledges to be tobacco free and then getting their picture made in front of the banner. The 24-7 campaign was a very useful activity for Wallace Middle School.
