The Virginia Tech Washington County Extension office offers several SOL-related projects for area youth. At Meadowview Elementary School, our 4th and 5th graders have the opportunity to participate in public speaking, dramatic reading, oral presentations, and 4-H “share the fun.” On March 31st the students had an opportunity to compete at the local level in several categories. The winners being named County Champions in each category had the opportunity to participate in the Southwest District 4-H Activity Day Contest on May 5th at Chilhowie High School.
