During the month of March 2004, Washington County Public Schools' four middle schools toured the Washington County Technical School and heard information on the Program of Studies offered at the school from Mr. Douglas Sparks, Principal. Students from Damascus Middle School, E.B. Stanley Middle School, Glade Spring Middle School, and Wallace Middle School visited the programs offered at the Technical School and participated in actual activities in the classes. The tours give all of the county's 8th grade students an opportunity to see first hand the skills required to be a Auto Body Technician, Carpenter, Computer Repair Technician, Bricklayer/Mason, Cosmetologist, and Health Care Provider.
